Here We Go!

So, I've been looking at all of my friends' blogs and thinking I should do this.  I have come to the realization that I have spent a small fortune on scrapbooking supplies that will more than likely never be used.  I mean, really, I turned out okay and the photographs of my youth are still recognizable despite being stored in acid laced albums, horizontally, in our 150 degree attic or musty basement.  My kids will be fine popping in a disc and recounting the day that we all gave our cheesiest grin in front of (fill in the blank).  Don't get me wrong.  I admire my friend whose scrapbooks look better than any magazine!  Seriously Christy, you are amazing!  Maybe one day when I have no more Law and Order or Lost episodes calling my name and a room where I can scatter all of my pretty paper, ribbons, and assorted embellishments around without fear of little dirty fingers grabbing them and sticking them up their nose, I too will tackle a scrapbook worthy of a magazine (or at least my coffee table).  Until then I have purposed in my heart to create a blog that shares what is going on in our lives with our family and friends.

Now don't hold me to a post every day or even every week.  However, I will commit to doing my best to share as many Newsome stories as I can.  I mean who can resist Kaden and his crazy motorcycle, Emilee's sparkly rainbows, or Carter trying to figure out the square root of the sum of a+b.  If you are lucky, I'll even throw in a post that involves Nick!

So here we go!  I would add more now but there is a good show on:)

Aha! You're here, at the party. Hi, welcome. Drinks are back there in the kitchen. There's a little bit of 46-layer dip still left, and the strawberry shortcake bars are gone, but I think there might still be some regular ice cream sandwiches.
Good to see you're blogging. Now just don't be one of those people who starts all enthusiastically and then hardly ever posts anything once the blog's been up for about two months.
